Spruce Mountains (3458 ft)

Franconian forest (2605 ft)

Mit Höhen von nahe 800 Metern ist der Frankenwald auch im Winter einen Urlaub wert. Die Skiabfahrt am Döbraberg gilt als anspruchsvollste Abfahrt in Nordbayern. Hunderte von Loipen stehen den Freunden des nordischen Skisports zur Verfügung. In der Wintersaison werden bei guter Schneelage in einigen Skigebieten Skikurse angeboten.

Vogtland (3195 ft)

The Vogtland is a popular destination for winter sports, offering excellent conditions at its ski resorts and cross-country skiing areas. Come and watch our premium international competitions at the Sparkasse Vogtland Arena Klingenthal, one of the most modern ski jumping facilities in Europe.

For those wanting to be active, an extensive 450km network of slopes and cross-country ski tracks can be found at the downhill ski resorts in Schöneck, at the Erlbacher Kegelberg and in Klingenthal, as well as in the skiing and sportive region of the Upper Vogtland. Grünbach/ Muldenberg is home to a year-round cross-country ski track, which can be used well into the evening due to floodlights.

The 36km-long Kammloipe along the ridge between Schöneck in the Vogtland and Johanngeorgenstadt in the Erzgebirge is one of the longest and most beautiful tracks in Germany where snow is most likely guaranteed.

Western Bohemia (4081 ft)

The Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) are famous for their high quality ski resorts and an extensive network of machine-groomed cross-country skiing trails. Klínovec and Boží Dar are among the most frequented destinations of skiers visiting the region; however, very good services can be found in other resorts as well. In addition to skiing, the Ore Mountains offer a whole range of winter activities. If you arrive to one of the local winter resorts, you will have an opportunity to give a try to snowtubing, snowkiting and snowshoeing. There is a lot of great winter fun waiting for you.
