Museum Bayerisches Vogtland

Much more than “just” a local history museum

Since January 28 2012, a completely new and supra-regionally important section about the history of refugees and expellees after the Second World War can be visited in the Museum Bayerisches Vogtland in Hof. Numerous showpieces on three floors show a part of German history using Hof by way of example.

The extension of the museum building which was elaborately modernized in the last two years shows more than 400 exhibition pieces of historic value relevant to this subject on three levels. The state-wide unique exhibition which is important far beyond the limits of the area is characterized by an approach that allows more than one perspective.
