Hof Zoo
The Hof Zoo is located on the edge of the Theresienstein, above the Botanical Garden. There you can find animals from all continents on land, water and in the air: Monkeys, birds, goats, sheep and also lynxes, raccoons and meerkats. The Hof Zoo is very family-oriented: It's not enough that children can get up close and personal with the animals in the petting enclosure, as well as in the savannah house and the huge walk-in aviaries. There is also a playground and a café, and the zoo offers an educational program for kindergartens, schools and interested parties. Supervised children's birthday parties are also on offer, as is the opportunity to "Be an animal keeper once" and spend two to three hours looking over the shoulder of an animal keeper and helping out.
