Triathlon weekend

Restrictions in road traffic

Obstructions on 12 and 13 July

Hof will once again become a triathlon city this coming weekend: the 26th Stadtwerke Schüler- und Jugendtriathlon on Saturday 12 July and the 42nd GEALAN Triathlon organised by IfL Hof on Sunday 13 July will be major sporting events that will not only attract numerous athletes, but also many spectators to the Untreusee.

As is usual for major events of this kind, there will be traffic obstructions around the Untreusee and road closures on both days of the event. The city of Hof asks all road users to follow the instructions and to understand the necessary restrictions.

Closures on Saturday, 12 July

Due to the cycling competitions, the following road sections will be fully closed from approx. 11:00 - 18:30:

  • Wilhelm-Löhe-Straße
  • Stelzenhofstraße
  • Am Lindenbühl (in the area of the TPZ)

Traffic will be controlled by the THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief). The upper car park near the TPZ cannot be used on this day.

Closures on Sunday, 13 July

Due to the main race, the following road areas will be completely closed to public traffic from approx. 08:00 - 14:30:

  • Stelzenhofstraße (from Untreusee to the junction with Erlhofer Straße)
  • Erlhofer Straße (between Stelzenhofstraße and Schneebergstraße)
  • Schneebergstraße
  • Wunsiedler Straße (up to the traffic lights at Ostpreußenstraße)
  • Ostpreußenstraße
  • Oberkotzauer Straße
  • Leon-Gonczarowski-Straße
  • Ascher Straße (from the entrance to Leon-Gonczarowski-Straße to Böhme GmbH)
  • Tauperlitz, Kautendorf and Kühschwitz through roads

There is an absolute stopping ban in the above-mentioned areas on Sunday. According to the police, vehicles must be removed by 7.00 a.m. at the latest - otherwise they will be towed away.
