The Building Code Authority assumes a central role for all public building law in the area of the City of Hof. Its tasks include, among other things, the prevention of dangers to life and health under building law, building supervision and fire protection. In the area of the environment, questions concerning contaminated sites, air pollution control and noise protection, mobile radio or hornets are answered, among other things.

In addition, Department 60 provides information on social housing subsidies, monument protection and the real estate offensive.
