Toilet facilities at the Eisteich open again

Open Monday to Friday from 2pm to 7pm, at weekends from 8am to 7pm.

The city of Hof has reopened the toilet facilities at the Eisteich leisure sports centre with immediate effect. This means that visitors to the popular area now have access to sanitary facilities during the summer months. The toilet is open Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm and at weekends from 8 am to 7 pm.

Mayor Eva Döhla: "It is important to us to keep the leisure area at the Eisteich attractive and usable for the time being. Our experience with the public use of the toilets was a burden - repeated soiling and vandalism led to a necessary, comprehensive refurbishment. We hope that the offer will now be accepted responsibly. The fact that we can offer a solution until the planned new toilet facility is in place is a good signal to all those who regularly use the site."

The original toilet facility had to be closed at the end of August/beginning of September 2024 after several incidents of significant soiling. A general refurbishment was the result. In the long term, a new, barrier-free toilet facility is planned as part of the third construction phase of the meeting and leisure sports centre. The plans have been finalised and the urban planning department is currently preparing the corresponding funding application as part of the urban development funding. If funding is approved, construction is expected to begin in 2026.
