Brass players from the Hof Symphony Orchestra at the Schlappentag for the first time
"The Hofer Schlappentag is characterized by the fact that not only tradition is cultivated, but that new aspects are always added," explains Peter Nürmberger, Head of the Cultural Office in Hof, and announces that the Hofer Symphoniker will also be involved in this year's Schlappentag. A brass ensemble from the orchestra will play traditional Bohemian and Franconian brass music such as waltzes, polkas and marches during the parade, including "Braumeister Polka", "Ein Traum von dir", "Mei Schatz des is a Schlampara" and "Auf der Vogelwiese". The Goethestraße/Lessingstraße intersection was chosen as the location. This means that participants and onlookers can experience yet another attraction on the last few meters before the festival grounds.
