Smart City

The city of Hof wants to develop into a Smart City. We see Smart City as a cross-sectional task in our city. Together with internal and external stakeholders, we focus on the responsible use of smart solutions in our city. Our smart city approach should not be confused with the federal government's model projects. However, these can have a positive impact on our smart city.

Ideas for smart solutions were collected in various participation rounds. Various topics were identified on the basis of these ideas and with the inclusion of internal concepts. The ideas are currently being evaluated in an internal project group with various stakeholders and checked for feasibility. As a result, specific measures are being identified, transferred into a catalog of measures with targets and the implementation focused on. At the same time, possible synergy effects with smart city projects in other municipalities are being identified in a network-oriented manner.

Smart applications and infrastructures of the Smart City Hof are valuable for our citizens, the economy and science. They help to make life in our city efficient, sustainable and participatory. Our networks are groundbreaking for sustainable and smart urban design and development.
