Double gold at the Special Olympics

With impressive perseverance, great commitment and a palpable passion for swimming, Tino Glaser has won two gold medals at the Special Olympics Bavaria state games. Mayor Eva Döhla honoured these outstanding achievements at a personal meeting: "Tino Glaser is an example of what is possible when commitment, talent and active inclusion come together. I congratulate him wholeheartedly on his sporting success and wish him just as much joy in his work in our building yard team."
Glaser has been working in gardening and landscaping at the municipal building yard since 2013. He is employed in cooperation with the Hochfränkische Werkstätten. From spring to late autumn, he supports the building yard with reliability, diligence and a good sense of teamwork. "The constructive cooperation with his colleagues shows how integration can work in everyday working life," says Kornelia Künzel, head of the municipal building yard. "I enjoy working at the building yard," confirms Tino Glaser, "and I'm most happy when I get to be out and about with my colleagues."
Tino Glaser has been active in swimming for ten years, with breaststroke being his great passion, he reports. "He trains weekly with endurance and discipline to improve his technique and achieve new goals," says trainer Monika Büscher.
