34th Hof-Plauen City Run

The twin cities of Hof and Plauen are organising the traditional city run for the 34th time on Saturday, 16 August 2025. Almost 100 runners have registered so far. Three different routes are on offer: 33 kilometres from Plauen, 16.5 kilometres from Krebes and 8 kilometres from Ullitz. The 8 and 16.5 kilometre routes are also open to Nordic walkers.

Participants run in guided pace groups of between 8 and 12 kilometres per hour, while Nordic walkers run in groups of between 5 and 6 kilometres per hour. Thanks to numerous volunteers, sufficient drinks, snacks and fruit will be provided at a total of seven refreshment stations along the route. In the finish area at the "Eisteich Hof" leisure centre, participants can expect catering, finisher medals and certificates from around 12:15 pm.

The extensive preparations - from securing the route to medical services and transport - have already been completed. The city run is being organised by the Vogtland District Sports Association with the support of Naturfreunde Plauen, VfB Lengenfeld, Interessengemeinschaft für Langstreckenlauf (IfL) Hof and Schwimmverein Hof 1911.
