Botanical Garden Hof
The botanical garden, which is part of the Theresienstein, was created back in 1912 - originally for natural history lessons at schools in Hof. It is divided into two large areas: The geometrically laid out Rosarium with the medicinal plant quarter and the more landscaped area with the Alpinum, water lily pond, shade quarter and the extensive areas of magnificent perennials. The tranquillity and floral splendour of the Botanical Gardens is available to all visitors free of charge.

Diversity of the plant world
Roses, medicinal herbs and a frog king
You can linger between fragrant roses in the rosarium, in the medicinal herb garden or by the water lily pond, past splashing fountains and water basins. You can leave the noise and hustle and bustle behind and enjoy the wonderful diversity of the plant world in idyllically designed resting places.
The highlight of the garden year is the Rose Festival in July. The queen of flowers takes center stage and is celebrated with dancing, music, a rose punch and information about the rose.
