Villeneuve-la-Garenne

In 1980, the city of Hof established a partnership with Villeneuve-la-Garenne, France. The city, located in the northeast of Paris, has about 25,000 inhabitants. The good relations between the two communities developed quickly, not least because of the interest in the respective foreign language. The number of people from Hof who made one or more visits to Villeneuve has long since become impossible to keep track of.
Out of all the lasting contacts between the two towns, one in particular should be highlighted: since the beginning of the town twinning, the Hof Swimming Club has maintained contacts with mutual visits on an annual basis, the purpose of which is to meet for sports, but even more to deepen friendly relations.
