Work of the KoKi centers in Bavaria
- They network the regional early help services on site and create the structural conditions for interdisciplinary cooperation between child and youth welfare services and other support systems, in particular the healthcare system
- They help to reduce inhibitions towards child and youth welfare services
- They encourage parents to seek support
- They help in the search for the right help and accompany them there if required
- By promoting parental relationship, bonding and parenting skills, the KoKis make a fundamental contribution to creating equal opportunities and education for children

- Three round tables per year to get to know the network partners, exchange professional information and improve quality in child protection
- Information about existing services in the city and district of Hof in the area of early help
- Joint development of services for single parents and families
- At least one specialist day per year and regular training courses for different target groups
- Public relations work to raise awareness among professionals in order to support at-risk families as early as possible
- Regular meetings with professionals working in the field of early help
- Supervision and in-house training for professionals working in the field of early help via KoKi

Joint KoKi specialist days
The two KoKi offices in the city and district of Hof jointly organize a cross-departmental symposium focusing on early childhood at least once a calendar year. These specialist days are aimed at various professions from the field of early childhood as well as doctors, lawyers, nursery school teachers, educators and other specialists who are interested in this subject area.
In recent years, for example, specialist days have been held on the following topics:
- "Injured children's souls - what professionals need to know about traumatized children" (2019)
- "When bruises on children arouse suspicion - A case for child protection? Intervene, support and don't look away!" (2020)
- "Mental health around pregnancy and birth and its influence on early childhood" (2023)

Further training as part of the Early Childhood Network
In addition to the specialist days, we also offer regular training events for our professionals and volunteers. The range of topics is diverse and has so far included issues relating to data protection, confidentiality, child endangerment in accordance with Sections 8a and 8b SGB VIII as well as the new Federal Child Protection Act and the Act on Cooperation and Information in Child Protection (KKG).
The events take place in the Hof region and offer professional input as well as an interdisciplinary exchange with colleagues from different professions.
Round table "Early childhood"

The Round Table is an association of various institutions, professional groups and advice centers with the aim of intensive networking for optimal action for families and their children.
