Pre-school children discover the theatre
What actually happens behind the scenes of a theatre? And where do actors and actresses disappear to when they are no longer on stage? The children of the Vorschulfüchse group explored these questions as part of the "Kita-Einstieg" project organised by the city of Hof. In cooperation with the Hof Young Theatre, the children were given exclusive insights into the inner workings of the theatre. Even before the visit, they were introduced to the topic of theatre in a playful way during their daycare routine. The highlight of the project was the joint visit to the theatre - a premiere for all the children.
The interactive play "Da wächst was" (Something is growing) fascinated the young audience and conveyed the medium of theatre in a child-friendly and lively way. "It was really fun!" reported the pre-school children enthusiastically. The nursery entry teachers also drew a positive conclusion. They praised the successful collaboration with the Junges Theater Hof and would like to expand the contact to enable further cultural experiences for children in the future.
The Kita-Einstieg project makes it easier for families to enter the German early childhood education system. Low-threshold programmes and events are used to specifically remove barriers to access.
