For "best agers" aged 60 and over and those who want to become one, there will be special movie afternoons from September as part of the "Seniorenkino". The idea for this goes back to an initiative of the Hof Seniors' Council, which launched the film series together with the Seniors' Representative and in cooperation with the Central Kino Hof.
Admission is from 14:00 and the films start at 14:30 (without advertising in advance).
In addition to selected films, the special feature of the senior citizens' cinema is that visitors can enjoy a coffee and a croissant at the beginning and have time for a cozy chat in the cinema. In addition, members of the Seniors' Council are available as contact persons on the movie afternoons.
Admission is 8 euros including coffee and croissant.
Access to the movie theater is on the first floor.
Please register with Central-Kino Hof. However, last-minute visitors can also come spontaneously.

Senior trips
Dates: May 20, 2025 and July 1, 2025 Departure is at 10:00 a.m. at the parking lot of the Freiheitshalle Hof.
Program schedule: Drive to lunch at the Pfaffenmühle restaurant near Plauen. Optional walk to the animal enclosure. Continue to the parking lot of the Pöhl dam landing stage. At 14:00 hrs, boat trip on the Pöhl Dam (approx. 1 hour). Followed by coffee at the Panoramablick restaurant (approx. 10 to 15 min. walk or alternatively bus ride). Arrival at Freiheitshalle Hof around 17:15. Note: Drinks at lunch as well as coffee and cake on a self-pay basis.
Cost: The trip costs 23 euros per person. Holders of volunteer cards receive a 30% discount (EUR 16.10) and recipients of basic income support receive a 50% discount (EUR 11.50) on the ticket price.

Program schedule: Drive to lunch at the Giechburg restaurant. Continue to Seehof Castle with a visit/guided tour. Afterwards: coffee in the orangery with musical accompaniment. Arrival at Freiheitshalle Hof at around 17:30. Note: Drinks at lunch as well as coffee and cake on a self-pay basis.
ATTENTION: The senior citizens' trip to Seehof Castle is not barrier-free. A 10 to 15 minute walk to Giechburg Castle is required. The walkway consists of historic cobblestones. The trip is aimed at people who are able to walk. Barrier-free toilets are available. We recommend the trip to the Pöhl dam for people with disabilities.
