City tour for senior citizens

Exploring the magnificent royal hall

As part of a city walk for senior citizens organized by the Department of Demography and Migration of the City of Hof, a free city tour of Hof's railroad station district took place at the end of May. The starting point was the "jewel" of Hof's train station - the Königssaal. After a welcome from Dr. Sandra Häupler, senior citizens' representative for the city of Hof, Heinrich Pöhland from the Stiftung Bahn-Sozialwerk (BSW) introduced the participants to the history of the Königssaal and the Hof railroad station.

The city walk then began under the guidance of tour guide Bea Lenk, who led the participants along historically significant buildings and individual life stories through Hof's station district. The tour ended at the Sophiencafé of the multi-generation house in Hof, where Natalja Schaller, head of the multi-generation house Diakonie Hochfranken, welcomed the guests together with the Sophiencafé team.

Due to the high demand, the city walk will be continued at the end of September 2025. Details of the date will follow in good time. Anyone interested can make a reservation by calling the city of Hof on 09281 / 815-1791.
