60 years together through life

The couple Rosemarie and Max Zerner celebrated a special anniversary on May 8, 2025: they have been married for 60 years. To mark the occasion, Mayor Eva Döhla visited the couple in Moschendorf and conveyed the congratulations of the city of Hof.

The couple got married on a sunny May day in 1965 in the Church of the Resurrection in the Moschendorf district of Hof. They fondly recalled this special day and talked about their honeymoon, which took them to Herrsching in the district of Starnberg, then on to Lake Ammersee and Andechs Monastery - destinations that remain fond memories to this day.

The couple had met a few years earlier in Tauperlitz at the church fair. At that time, they were out with friends and met at the dance - as was often the beginning of many stories in the past. Max Zerner worked as a foreman at a construction company in Hof and immediately showed his practical side: he helped his future wife Rosemarie to repair something at home. This initial help led to a future together.

Rosemarie Zerner was employed at Hof City Hospital for many years. Today, the couple live in Moschendorf, where they also celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with the family. Eva Döhla was delighted to have the opportunity to meet the couple in person.
