Playgrounds in Hof

Plenty of play space for children

In Hof, even the youngest children should feel completely at home. We have made sure of this by providing almost 50 playgrounds for them in the city area. Yes, you read that right! Some playgrounds have a specific theme, so a short tour of the city's most beautiful playgrounds is worthwhile for both you and your children. What's more, many are conveniently located in the midst of beautiful nature or near attractions, so you as a supervisor can also enjoy your time or take a little detour there afterwards.

By the way, if you ever hear a Hofer talk about "die Gunga": This refers to the offspring. In other words, they are the ones who should be romping, playing, meeting friends and enjoying themselves in our playgrounds - children, that is.

Our playground recommendations

We would like to briefly introduce you to some of the most beautiful playgrounds. Whether centrally located in the city or close to nature at the Saaleauen, Theresienstein or Untreusee - when it comes to playgrounds, no child's wishes remain unfulfilled.

The Longoliusplatz playground is located right in the city center . Under old chestnut trees, the little ones can climb the wooden horse, swing or play in the sandpit - and then relax with you in the nearby ice cream parlor or on a stroll through the city. At the playground in Wittelsbacherpark opposite Sophienschule, children can look forward to a wooden track and a climbing house with a slide, among other things. For bookworms and bookworms, it's worth taking a detour to the children's book section of the public library right next to the park.

The Saaleauen playground is located in the middle of the natural river landscape, yet close to the city center and within easy walking distance. In addition to seesaws, spring animals and other play equipment, a wooden climbing crocodile awaits the children here. The Saaledurchstich playground near the Bavarian Vogtland Museum also scores points with its central yet idyllic location close to the river. Among other things, children can really let off steam on the trampoline and the slope slide. Another advantage: both playgrounds are located on the Saale cycle path and are therefore perfect for a stopover during a cycle tour.

The Botanical Garden playground in the Theresienstein Bürgerpark has a water gnome, a climbing ball and three playhouses. Take this opportunity to pay a visit to the animals in the nearby zoological garden. The Untreusee playground is a real play paradise for children, with a view of the lake right by the water. Storm a pirate island, do gymnastics in the climbing vortex, swing in the bird's nest, swing down the cable car, build a sandcastle and, last but not least, splash around in the shallow water - there is everything here to make children's hearts beat faster.

Hof offers many other play areas for children. An overview of all playgrounds in the city can be found here.
