Continuing education
A wide range of subsidies are available for continuing vocational training for employees, job seekers and employees in companies. The decisive factor here is that the subsidy is applied for and approved before the start of further training, as subsidies cannot be granted retrospectively.
Institute for Continuing Education (ifw) at Hof University of Applied Sciences
The Institute for Continuing Education (ifw) at Hof University of Applied Sciences aims to offer professionals in the region individual continuing education at university level that combines scientific research and consistent practical orientation. To this end, part-time bachelor's and master's degree programs are offered that enable students to obtain an academic degree. The offer is supplemented by separately bookable study modules, seminars, certificate courses and summer schools. The target group is working specialists and managers who would like to deal with the increasingly interdisciplinary demands of their profession through continuing professional development. They improve their career opportunities with further education or can prepare for a new professional start.

Center for Languages and Intercultural Competence at Hof University of Applied Sciences
Languages are the gateway to the world - essential for an academic career. That is why Hof University, with its international orientation, places particular emphasis on excellent language training. The extensive language offerings are complemented by intercultural courses that prepare you to move confidently and diplomatically in foreign cultural environments. Eight full-time lecturers, supported by mainly native-speaking teaching assistants, offer a wide-ranging language program. The majority of the courses offered are aimed at obtaining the UNIcert® foreign language certificate (levels I - IV), a certificate recognized outside universities as proof of foreign language proficiency. The levels offered range from beginner to near native speaker. Classes are held in interactive small groups. Courses are offered with a sufficient minimum number of participants. External interested parties may attend if there are still course places available.
