Best secondary school graduates honoured

Congratulations to over 500 pupils from secondary schools in the city and district of Hof. This year, they successfully completed their qualifying secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate. As part of a ceremony organised by the government of Upper Franconia, the ten best graduates have now been honoured by the education authority, the Chamber of Crafts, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia in Bayreuth and guests of honour from the world of politics. District Administrator Dr Oliver Bär and Hof's Lord Mayor Eva Döhla presented the certificates.
District master craftsman Marco Kemnitzer welcomed those present to the award ceremony, which took place in the training building of the Upper Franconia Motor Vehicle Guild in Hof. In his laudatory speech, head of the education authority Stefan Stadelmann emphasised that secondary schools in no way had to hide behind intermediate schools or grammar schools.
District Administrator Dr Oliver Bär and Mayor Eva Döhla also congratulated the graduates personally and wished them all the best, courage and self-confidence for the future. The Vice President of the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia, Christian Herpich, and its Managing Director, Prof. Dr Sebastian Serfas, as well as the Vice President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia Bayreuth, Michael Bitzinger, also recognised the outstanding achievements of the students on site.
