Book babies toddler group
Thursdays at 9:00 am and 10:00 am
"I'm here, you're here, we're all here ..." is the motto every Thursday when the book babies gather for the toddler group in the Hof public library. All the moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas present are eager to play and make music together. It goes without saying that the books are not neglected. There is plenty of visual material available. But it's not just about looking at them. Rather, the books are perceived with all the senses. The child associates "reading" with positive feelings, closeness and security, and is also given special attention. A new experience, a first contact with the book, with language is established. Language and imagination are encouraged through rhymes, finger plays and songs. This also provides a good basis for later reading skills, which are important not least for school.
