New garden furniture for the city library's reading courtyard

The donation from Sparkasse Hochfranken enhances the reading centre.

The city of Hof is delighted to have received special support: Sparkasse Hochfranken has invested in the reading courtyard of the city library and donated two sets of high-quality garden furniture. This will make the popular outdoor area even more inviting and offer visitors a pleasant opportunity to read and relax outside in the summer.

The reading courtyard, which is increasingly being used by members of the public, has been significantly enhanced by the new furniture. Board member Michael Maurer visited the facility together with Mayor Eva Döhla to see the successful furnishings for himself.

Flanked by the library rooms of the adult and children's sections, the reading courtyard is complemented by the impressive stone sculpture by Günther Rossow, which depicts the four Fichtelgebirge rivers. The former "back room" is now tidy and inviting - a place that inspires people to linger and read.

On behalf of the entire library team, Katharina Burkhardt and Heike Dürrbeck, who selected the furniture, thanked Michael Maurer for the generous support of Sparkasse Hochfranken. Mayor Eva Döhla emphasised the importance of such partnerships for the cultural infrastructure of the city of Hof and expressed her delight at the successful upgrading of the reading area.
