Far more women than is generally assumed fall into a mental crisis around the birth of a child. "Lesestart 1-2-3" is a language and reading promotion program aimed at the very youngest children. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and implemented by Stiftung Lesen. The free Lesestart kits, which contain an age-appropriate children's book and a guidebook with tips and information on reading aloud and storytelling in everyday family life, form the core of Lesestart.

Advice via app in suspected cases
The RemApp offers advice on medical issues in suspected cases of child endangerment. The RemApp telemedical consultation service of the Bavarian Child Protection Outpatient Clinic is a free service for all doctors. Via RemApp, it is possible to present a suspected case of child endangerment, as well as all other suspected cases of violence, online under protected conditions and obtain the opinion of the child protection outpatient clinic.
