Announcement and inspection
The legally binding development plans that can be called up have all been officially published. Only the original plan of the city of Hof can be the sole basis for binding information. Only the original plan reflects the valid legal situation.
The original plans with justification (only in the case of newer plans also with a summary declaration) are available for inspection by anyone from the day of publication during office hours (Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 11.45 a.m. and Monday to Thursday from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m.) at the Urban Planning Department. Please make an appointment to inspect the documents. Information on the content of the documents will be provided on request.

Challenges and help
We expressly point out that dealing with and reading these development plans can sometimes be very difficult and complicated. For example, it is possible that
- several development plans apply to properties,
- other statutes and regulations apply in addition to the development plans, such as in particular the open space design statutes, conservation statutes, the tree protection ordinance and many more,
- individual regulations no longer apply due to court decisions,
- individual regulations have been amended by another development plan.
As a rule, other laws, e.g. the German Land Use Ordinance (BauNVO) as amended, as well as instructions, guidelines and DIN regulations, must be consulted in order to fully determine the regulatory content of the respective development plan.
If in doubt, you should seek expert advice. Architects, consumer associations or lawyers, for example, can provide you with assistance. Information on development plans can also be obtained from the Urban Planning Department. We would like to point out once again that only the original plan reflects the valid legal situation.
Only the original plan reflects the current legal situation
The main reasons for this are as follows:
- Older plans were still drawn by hand and with ink colors. When digitizing these plans, colour changes cannot be avoided at present.
- By digitizing and converting them into manageable pdf files, the accuracy of the plan is lost. The plan can therefore only provide initial information and is not suitable for measuring or surveying properties or roads, etc.
- The settings of your computer, monitor or printer may also result in changes, particularly in the color quality.
Please note that the development plans posted on the Internet may be subject to judicial review (review of standards or incidence proceedings). The overview of development plans is adapted to legally binding decisions. Information on ongoing court proceedings can be obtained from the Urban Planning Department.
