Hof-Plauen Airport

Your gateway to the Hochfranken region, neighboring Thuringia, Saxony and the Czech Republic

The current operating company of Hof-Plauen Airport (under aviation law: commercial airfield) was founded in 1998 at the height of scheduled and charter flight operations at the time. Flughafen Hof-Plauen GmbH currently consists of 2 shareholders: the city of Hof (60%) and the district of Hof (40%).

The airport is operated with a lean staff of currently 11 employees plus 2 colleagues in the tower of the Northern Bavaria Aviation Authority.

The airport is the main landing site for the north-eastern Upper Franconia region and is located in the center of Europe, making it possible to reach the most important European cities in a short time. Conversely, it is YOUR gateway to the region of Upper Franconia, neighboring Thuringia, Saxony and the nearby Czech Republic.
