Broadband expansion

For the city of Hof, expanding broadband coverage is a high priority when it comes to improving infrastructure. Today, high-performance broadband development is just as important as development with roads and supply and disposal. In particular, the competitiveness of Hof's commercial enterprises also depends on a future-oriented broadband supply.

The city of Hof is endeavoring to make use of the available subsidy programs and to push ahead with publicly funded broadband expansion. In addition, telecommunications providers are being called upon to continuously improve broadband coverage in Hof on their own initiative as well. The second broadband expansion procedure has eliminated the last "white spots" of undersupply.

The Kulmbacher Strasse business park was already connected to the fiber-optic network in the first completed funding procedure. In the second procedure, the last larger undersupplied areas were now processed.

The city of Hof is thus taking advantage of all the funding opportunities offered by the state of Bavaria, and Hof as a business location is well equipped for the future in terms of Internet.
