It is currently not possible to arrange an appointment online - with the exception of collecting an existing residence permit (online appointment). You will receive an appointment from us after submitting and checking all documents. It is not possible to audition without an appointment.

Due to the large number of urgent appointments, it is not possible to arrange an appointment earlier. There will be no admission without an appointment.

As soon as we have received it, you will receive a PIN letter from Bundesdruckerei. You then have the option of making an appointment with us for collection (online appointment). If you are unable to make an appointment online, you can also contact us by e-mail or telephone.

With a fictitious certificate in accordance with § 81 Absatz 4 Aufenthaltsgesetz (AufenthG) or § 81 Absatz 5 AufenthG in conjunction with § 11 Absatz 4 FreizügG/EU. In conjunction with § 11 Absatz 4 FreizügG/EU from german side, there aren't any problems to leave and re-enter the country. Most countries accept this fictitious certificate for travel, but prior clarification with the respective destination country is recommended. A fictitious certificate in accordance with § 81 Abs. 3 AufenthG does not have this effect.

You are obliged to take care of the renewal or reissue of your documents in good time. When you receive a new travel document, you must present it to the Foreigners Office immediately and make every effort to have your residence permit amended. You must apply for the extension of your residence permit in good time before it expires. When submitting the application, please refer to any intended trips that are imminent.

It is not possible to order a residence permit by express delivery. The issue of an adhesive label is not possible in the case of self-inflicted damage.

Applications for permanent residence permits can only be processed as a lower priority (if your current temporary residence permit is still valid). Applications will not be processed earlier, as a large number of other requests are given priority.

No, visas may not be extended unconditionally and are only possible in exceptional cases. European legal requirements must be observed. Accordingly, an extension may be granted in cases of force majeure or to safeguard political interests.
