Discover flora and fauna

In the natural history department of the Bavarian Vogtland Museum, there is much to see, learn and discover for adults and children alike. The extensive exhibition not only includes an almost complete collection of taxidermy of European birds and mammals. The impressive number of insects, reptiles, amphibians and fungi of the region also gives you a comprehensive insight into the local flora and fauna.

Find the frog!

The "Forest" and "Pond" dioramas with their various animal and plant "inhabitants" in their natural habitats are particularly interesting for children. Because in the nature-oriented "hidden object pictures" a lot of different animals and plants can be searched and found. In addition, the "forest" habitat can also be experienced sensually and "grasped" in the truest sense of the word with the help of smelling and feeling stations.
