Take part in the hike "In the footsteps of Gottlob Thomas". Guided by Dr Roland Eichhorn and Silke Schaller.
We have already learnt a lot about our first energetic and committed town planning councillor in various lectures or through the newly published book: His ideas, his vision for urban development and his formative influence on today's cityscape and our beautiful Theresienstein.
Now we invite you to discover what you have heard and read with your own eyes on Sunday, 14 September at 10 am: On a city walk of around five kilometres, we will go in search of traces and visit a selection of those impressive buildings that we owe to his signature. Whether artistic façades, impressive public buildings or well thought-out urban planning concepts - these works unfold their full effect on site.
At the individual stops, Roland Eichhorn and Silke Schaller tell exciting background stories, surprising anecdotes and amusing details that bring the story(s) behind the buildings to life.
You can look forward to a varied tour through our urban area that combines historical architecture and lively storytelling in an entertaining way.
