Insurance office
Insurance offices are service providers in matters of social insurance. Social insurance includes in particular statutory pension, health, long-term care and accident insurance. As the municipal insurance office, we act for all citizens of Hof. Furthermore, people employed in Hof can also make use of our services, even if they do not reside in Hof. In addition, we are the information and application office for the severely handicapped, including benefits for the blind, as well as for exemption from broadcasting fees.
Parking permits for the use of "severely disabled parking spaces" are also issued by the insurance office if the requirements are met.
Our services
- We will provide you with information on social insurance issues, but not on private pension issues.
- We accept your applications for benefits from the social insurance system, in particular the statutory pension insurance system, and provide you with advice and assistance in the application process. For example, if you want to apply for your pension, we will fill out the application forms together with you.
- If you do not agree with a decision from the above-mentioned areas, you can submit your appeal to us.
- We will help you if your pension insurance account needs to be completed (so-called account clarification) or if you would like to have pension information on your previously acquired pension entitlements. We will fill in the necessary application forms together with you.
- We will certify copies for social security purposes. Please bring the originals with you.
- We provide information on the law governing severely disabled persons.
- We accept and forward applications, appeals and complaints relating to the law on severely disabled persons and blind persons' allowances.
- We accept and forward applications for the broadcasting fee. (registration, deregistration, reregistration and exemption from the broadcasting fee)
- We issue parking permits for the use of parking spaces for the severely disabled.
- We accept applications for the Bavarian state care allowance as of 2018
- We work for you free of charge.

Severely disabled persons law
The Bavarian Family and Social Affairs Center is responsible, among other things, for processing applications for severely disabled persons and concerns related to a severely disabled person's ID card. You can obtain form applications for a severely disabled person's card or blind person's allowance at the citizens' office of the city of Hof, Karolinenstr. 40, 95028 Hof.

Broadcasting fee
The municipal insurance office in Hof is responsible for forwarding applications to the contribution service. All form applications of the contribution service can be found on the homepage of the contribution service here.
Applications for exemption or reduction can also be obtained in paper form from the insurance office. Please note that the insurance office must make a certified copy of your certificate of approval or your severely handicapped certificate! Therefore, please submit these documents in the original.
