All cargo bicycles with battery-electric support, i.e., bicycles with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h that are not subject to registration or insurance, as well as cargo pedelecs up to 45 km/h that are subject to registration or insurance, are eligible for funding. The payload is important: "The cargo bike must be able to transport at least 50 kilograms plus the rider's weight," says Baumann. Bicycles that have been retrofitted and e-bikes are not eligible for funding. Used or leased bicycles, as well as bicycles that were already purchased before the application was submitted, are also not eligible.
2 years of use
The city of Hof has reserved a total of 5,000 euros for the subsidy - i.e. for exactly ten environmentally friendly transport bicycles. The prerequisite for the grant is that the bicycles are used for two years and not resold. The city can have the applicant demonstrate the cargo pedelec at least one month before the end of the two years. For the first two years, the owners also visibly attach a sticker "Supported by the City of Hof" to the vehicle, which they receive from the city.

Submit the funding application, the offer and proof of residence in Hof to Stadt Hof, Fachbereich 66 - Radverkehrsbeauftragter (by mail, post or in person). Funds will be awarded upon receipt of the complete application!
After receiving the grant notice, you have four months to purchase the cargo pedelec and provide proof of purchase to the City of Hof.
