The planning for the second construction phase has now been completed: In the coming year, the excavators will be rolling again on the site of the "Am Eisteich" meeting and leisure sports center. In keeping with the motto "free, open and outdoors", the Saaleauen will be home to a modern street skate park that leaves nothing to be desired.

Highlights of the freely accessible overall facility are the street skate park, the skate and BMX bowl, a pump track and an inline skating track, which are suitable for everyone - from beginners to advanced skaters.

To ensure that fans of outdoor fitness (calisthenics) also get their money's worth, an area of the site will be equipped with fitness equipment. This will include horizontal bars, a wall bar and a horizontal ladder as well as a slackline for balance exercises. "This is ideal for anyone who wants to combine a run along the Saaleauen or through the Theresienstein citizens' park with fitness exercises on the equipment."

During the planning phase, care was also taken to ensure that the new leisure sports facility has the highest possible recreational and amenity value, with individual areas in particular being harmoniously integrated into the surroundings. The respective facilities are harmoniously modeled into the landscape. The interplay of open and elevated areas means that both athletes and spectators can use the higher recreation areas and thus have a view of the entire facility.
