Hof Jazz Nights 2025

The musical highlight enters its third round.

From April 3 to 6, 2025, the city of Hof is once again hosting the Hof Jazz Nights. The musical festival, which started for the first time in 2023 with great success and numerous visitors from all over Germany, will once again offer a diverse program this year. The festival is largely organized by the renowned musician Slawek Dudar, who was recently honoured by the city of Hof for his services to cultural life.

Thanks to the financial support of the Dr. Hans Viessmann Foundation and the Hermann and Bertl Müller Foundation, the focus of this year's Jazz Nights is particularly on promoting young people and presenting local and international jazz talent. "Children and young people are our future," emphasize the organizers, underlining the educational aspirations of the event.

The festival is jointly organized by the Tonkünstlerverband Hochfranken e.V., the city of Hof, the Freiheitshalle, the Jean-Paul-Gymnasium, the Johann-Christian-Reinhart-Gymnasium, the music school of the Hofer Symphoniker, the Central-Kino Hof as well as the Frankenpost and the Jazz-Fun.de magazine.

The program highlights include the opening concert of a jazz quartet in the KlangManufaktur of the Hof Symphony Orchestra, a photo exhibition under the patronage of the Ukrainian Institute, a concert by a German-Ukrainian jazz quintet and the screening of a film about young jazz musicians in the Central-Kino Hof. The joint performance by the big bands of the Jean-Paul-Gymnasium and the Johann-Christian-Reinhart-Gymnasium with professional jazz musicians should be particularly impressive. In addition, two young local jazz musicians will present their skills, complemented by preview concerts full of soul, R'n'B, funk and jazz music.
