Even more variety: Genussmarkt Hof

Under the motto "Experience pleasure - taste regionality", the Genussort Hof invites you to the big pleasure market around the Maxplatz on Saturday, 5 July 2025.

Official opening and programme highlights

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can look forward to a varied programme with regional specialities, traditional crafts and culinary hands-on activities. Admission is free. With a mixture of market hustle and bustle, gastronomy, cultural highlights and craftsmanship, the Genussmarkt is a special city experience. The focus is on the diversity of regional producers - from butchers and breweries to manufactories and agricultural initiatives. Along the longest gourmet table in the city, visitors can sample, exchange and enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere.

The official opening of the market takes place at 9.00 am, accompanied by "Die Gschrubbten", who provide a lively start with traditional music.

Activities for young and old

  • "Schnitz for kids" (10.30-13.00): Children aged 7 and over buy fresh ingredients at the market and then cook a "Hofer Schnitz" under the guidance of the Museum Bayerisches Vogtland.
  • Market devotion (10.45-11.15 am) in St Michael's Church invites you to reflect.
  • "Fake Food - Food between appearance and reality": The special exhibition at the Porzellanikon shows deceptively real food replicas.
  • Art meets specialities: an exhibition by Ingrid Ammen, Reinhard Heidig and Carola Wölfl as part of FreiRaum combines indulgence with art.

Culinary delights and music

  • "Genussregal Oberfranken" (from 1.00 pm): Indulgence ambassador Felix Bense invites you on a culinary tour of the city, which ends with a whisky tasting at Cigar House Wagner.
  • Slawek Dudar Trio (from midday): Live music with saxophone, double bass and electric piano creates a relaxed atmosphere on the Maxplatz.
  • Barbecue seminar organised by VHS Hofer Land (4.00 pm): To round off the event, there will be tips and tricks from a barbecue professional - with barbecue character.
