Euregio Egrensis as a guest in Hof town hall

There are still places available at the 2024 youth summer camp.

A meeting of the Joint Presidium of the Euregio Egrensis recently took place in the town hall of Hof. Under the chairmanship of President Thomas Hennig, District Administrator of the Vogtland district, representatives of the Bavarian, Saxon/Thuringian and Bohemian working groups came together to discuss cross-border issues and projects. Mayor Eva Döhla, who is also a member of the Joint Presidium, had invited them to this meeting.

A central topic of the meeting was the upcoming Youth Summer Camp 2024, which will take place in Boží Dar from July 27 to 31, 2024. There are still places available and interested young people can register via the following link: www.euregio-egrensis.de/jugendsommerlager.htm. The participation fee is 90 euros.

Mayor Eva Döhla: "The camp offers an opportunity for young people to make international friends and gain cultural experience. Young people between the ages of 11 and 14 who live in the Euregio Egrensis region have the opportunity to take part. Sporting, cultural and many other activities are on offer, including city tours, sightseeing, campfire and disco evenings, swimming, climbing and other outdoor and indoor games."

Another topic was the EU's INTERREG funding programs, which support cross-border projects in the Bavarian-Czech and Saxon-Czech border regions. Particular emphasis was placed on the Bavaria-Czech Republic Small Projects Fund, which supports meetings between schools, kindergartens, associations, municipalities, universities and cultural and tourism projects. A call for projects is currently open until July 18, 2024. Further information and advice is available to interested parties by telephone, in a video consultation or in person at the Euregio office in Marktredwitz: https://www.by-cz.eu/programm/kleinprojekte/
