Dog tax due on March 15, 2025

Anyone who has not yet registered their dog can do so at the city treasury.

The City of Hof reminds all dog owners that the dog tax for the year 2025 is due on March 15. There will be no separate request for payment. Dogs over four months old are generally subject to tax unless a reduction or exemption applies. The tax rates remain as follows:

First dog: 75.00 euros per year
Each additional dog: 100.00 euros per year
Fighting dogs: 600.00 euros per year

Dog owners who participate in the direct debit system do not need to take any further action - the tax is collected automatically. All others are requested to transfer the amount to the city treasury by the due date. In order to avoid reminder fees, it is possible to issue a SEPA core direct debit mandate by March 15, 2025.

Anyone who has not yet registered their dog can do so at the city treasury. Registration takes place at the town hall, Klosterstraße 3, room 223. Information can be obtained by telephone on 09281 / 815 - 1322.
