Ban on firecrackers in the city of Hof on New Year's Eve

In the period from December 31, 2024, 22:00 to January 1, 2025, 03:00, the carrying, burning and shooting of fireworks is prohibited in certain areas of the city center of Hof.

The city of Hof has issued a general decree that from December 31, 2024, 22:00 to January 1, 2025, 03:00, the carrying, setting off and launching of fireworks is prohibited in certain areas of Hof's city center.

The background to this regulation is the considerable dangers caused by the setting off of fireworks on New Year's Eve 2023/2024, including injuries and disruption to escape routes. Violations of this regulation can be punished with a fine of up to 1,000 euros.
