In 2024, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia Bayreuth will once again hold free start-up advice days. This offer is intended to continue to support the start-up culture in the Hofer Land region. The path to self-employment is usually not easy and is associated with many uncertainties. For this reason, it is helpful to make use of advisory services. First and foremost is the business model, which must be viable enough for a business to exist. It is also necessary to determine target groups and align the product and marketing accordingly, calculate prices, find locations and combine the whole thing into a business plan as a set of figures. Finally, financing partners must also be convinced of the concept. There are also other tasks such as choosing the legal form or registering the business. But if you have a good business idea, you should not be put off. The Hofer Land economic region in particular offers good chances of success for start-ups.

The promotion of business start-ups is an important pillar of local economic policy in the Hofer Land region. New companies, products and business ideas are growing and creating jobs, which is why the economic development agencies of the city of Hof and the district of Hof, together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia Bayreuth, are inviting interested parties who want to set up their own business or take over a company to the Start-up Advice Days 2024.Other partners who will be on hand to provide advice include the Hof support center of the LfA Förderbank Bayern and Aktivsenioren Bayern e.V.

The start-up consultation days offer the opportunity to receive individual advice, starting with a review of the business idea or continuation, recommendations for action, location analysis, funding review, financing issues and the creation of a business plan.

Planned company successions are also an important topic. They often represent a good opportunity to switch to self-employment. The advice itself is provided by the IHK together with the Aktivsenioren and the LfA, but the business promoters are also available to answer questions about the location directly.

The start-up advice days currently take place online, but can also be held at Einstein1, the digital start-up center at Albert-Einstein-Straße 1 in Hof, if required. The latest information will be passed on in good time.

Advice for existing companies:

In consultation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia, the economic development agencies of the city of Hof and the district of Hof have also been offering consultation hours for existing companies as an extension of their advisory services since fall 2023. Here, specific information can be provided on important topics such as funding and financing or energy. Depending on the advice required, the relevant experts are on hand with their know-how.

In six individual and free online appointment slots per consultation day, existing companies have the opportunity to receive one hour of advice from the experts. If necessary, further consultation appointments will be arranged. Interested companies are cordially invited to register for the consultation days and benefit from this offer.

In future, the consultation days for existing companies will be offered once a quarter instead of a business start-up consultation day, alternating between the city and district of Hof.
