Structural engineering
Whether it is the restoration of an old municipal building, the conversion of existing buildings or the complete construction of a new municipal building, Department 65 - Technical Building Management - expertly performs the construction and maintenance tasks for the city of Hof.
The technical building management department of the city of Hof currently looks after about 120 properties in the city of Hof and its incorporated villages. These include elementary and secondary schools, sports facilities and administrative buildings. The department is also responsible for cultural facilities such as the museum, the Freiheitshalle, the historically valuable building at Theresienstein and the theater.
The tasks
The main tasks include both the structural and energy-related maintenance of city-owned buildings and properties as well as the planning and implementation of renovation, conversion and new construction measures and the support of external engineers and architects as the client's representative. Furthermore, the preparation of expert opinions for buildings is carried out within the framework of the expert committee.
The internal energy management department is responsible for recording and checking the energy efficiency of the buildings and for controlling suitable technical and organizational measures to reduce costs.
