Wasps & Hornets
Don't be afraid of the big ones!
Especially in late summer, the black and yellow striped hymenoptera are increasingly on the move and it is not uncommon for people to feel threatened by the insects.

The legal requirements of the Federal Nature Conservation Act apply to the planned removal of wasp nests . According to this law, all wild animal species enjoy general protection. They may not be killed or their habitats impaired or removed without good reason.
In the case of specially protected species such as the hornet, for example, permission is even required from the lower nature conservation authority if a nest is to be removed or relocated.
