On 01.01.2024, the city of Hof joined the Greater Nuremberg Transport Association (VGN). This means it is now part of the largest transport and fare network in Bavaria. In terms of area, this roughly coincides with the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Above all, membership of the VGN means a uniform fare system throughout the region and improved service for users. In addition, the VGN's marketing activities provide a good platform for the Hofer Land region.

Another new feature is the 365-Eutro-Ticket for schoolchildren, which can now be purchased thanks to the city of Hof's membership of the VGN.
