TSV Hof supports regional training center

The Landesleistungszentrum am Rosenbühl has been a central location for school and club sports in Hof for over 40 years. Now, thanks to the energetic efforts of over 20 volunteers from TSV Hof, the floor gymnastics surface, which posed a considerable risk of injury due to damage, has been renewed. The helpers removed the old floor covering, which saved the city of Hof the high costs of employing a specialist company.

Mayor Eva Döhla: "Their efforts have not only made sport in our city safer, but also show once again how strong the cohesion in our city community is. The competitive sports center is a real flagship of our sports city Hof."

The floor gymnastics area is used daily by a variety of groups, including children's gymnastics, dance, rhythmic gymnastics and parkour. Clubs from other cities such as Berlin, Erlangen and Munich also train here regularly. Replacing the floor was essential to ensure that school and club sports could continue to take place safely. The measure was financially supported by the charitable foundation of Sparkasse Hochfranken and the Förderkreis Kunstturnen with 3,000 euros each. A used competition surface was installed in February and supplemented with a new Triflex surface in July. The favorable special price was made possible by the offer from the Spieth company. As thanks for their efforts, the helpers received a Hof-Geld voucher from the city of Hof. Mayor Eva Döhla called out all those involved by name and presented the vouchers personally.
