Sun terraces at Untreusee renovated
After initial predictions that they would have to remain closed in the long term due to their dilapidated condition, the renovation of three sun terraces has now been completed promptly and more cost-effectively than expected. The total costs for the renovation amounted to around 60,000 euros, financed from the ongoing maintenance funds for the structural facilities at Untreusee. The work was carried out by the company Ingenieurholzbau & Zimmerei Köppel.
Existing foundations and the basic structure were largely retained. The new, triple-treated spruce wood has a bee-friendly coating and replaces the previous material. Mayor Eva Döhla invites the people of Hof and all guests: "There will certainly be one or two beautiful autumn days when you can sit down here."
The other two terraces will remain closed for the time being. Renovation of these facilities is planned for next year if funding can be secured.
