Refurbishment with historical awareness
The building, which was constructed by master builder Johann Nicklas Schödel around 1889 during the Wilhelminian era, underwent a comprehensive core renovation that not only preserved the historical substance, but also enabled a sustainable energy upgrade. The couple, who have deep roots in Hof, deliberately opted for this renovation in order to preserve the charm of the house while offering modern living comfort.
The prestigious façade was renovated in the style of the Wilhelminian style and is reminiscent of the heyday of the era. The modernized residential units are characterized by a great deal of dedication and attention to detail and offer a cosy home in a classic style. The south-west-facing balconies and large windows ensure light-flooded rooms and a high quality of living. The two owners shared their experiences of renovating the historic building with the participants and were happy to answer any questions.
Following the house tour, those interested in refurbishment had the opportunity to obtain comprehensive advice directly from the real estate campaign and the redevelopment agency of the city of Hof, represented by Mr. Christian Weigand, Ms. Simone Herrmann and Ms. Sabrina Wenisch, on the funding opportunities and tax benefits in the redevelopment area.
