Proposals for the Hof Youth Prize

Under the motto "Young people active for Hof", young people, youth groups or associations who are particularly committed to the community are honored each year. A total of 2,000 euros is available, which is distributed among the winners. All residents of Hof can nominate committed young people up to the age of 27 or corresponding groups for the award. The application deadline is February 26, 2025.

Nominations can be sent by post to the Stadtjugendamt Hof (Klosterstraße 23, 95028 Hof) or by email to justina.hofmann(at)stadt-hof.de. Alternatively, the Stadtjugendring Hof accepts nominations at geschaeftsstelle(at)sjr-hof.de. To enable the jury to understand the achievements of the nominees, the proposals should include a justification.

The winners will be selected and notified by a jury. The award ceremony will take place at the end of March 2025 as part of a city council meeting. The award will be presented by Mayor Eva Döhla and Dr. Burkhard Baier, Head of the Schools, Youth, Social Affairs and Sport Division.

The city of Hof has been awarding the Youth Prize since 1985 to honor the special commitment of young people. The prize honors activities that stand out in the areas of social, cultural or scientific activities and enrich life in Hof. Over the years, the Youth Award has honored numerous inspiring personalities and groups who strengthen the common good through their work.
