New social building for building depot

The social rooms and sanitary facilities for the employees of the road maintenance, street cleaning, waste collection and building cleaning departments as well as the administration are housed in the current social building on Breslaustraße at the municipal building depot. In addition, there are further employees in the area of sewer maintenance, who are still housed in rented premises on the premises of the Saale wastewater association in Uferstrasse.

Due to its poor structural condition, the entire building is no longer fit for renovation. There is also a lack of showers, toilets and a basic "black and white" area for the employees of the building yard.

In the new two-storey, functional and compact building to be erected along Breslaustraße, the administration of the building yard and the foremen responsible for the individual specialist groups are to be accommodated in addition to the employees of the sewer maintenance department. The gate, which was previously located in a container, will also be integrated into the social building.
