New crossing aid installed in Dr.-Enders-Straße

A new traffic island was installed as a crossing aid in Dr.-Enders-Straße at the junction with Hans-Högn-Straße to mark the start of school.

This will make the route to school much safer for pedestrians and especially for pupils at Eichendorff School. This measure is the result of a request from the city council following a traffic accident in this area in May 2023, in which a six-year-old child was hit by a car while crossing the road. Fortunately, the child was only slightly injured.

On the first day of school, pupils from Eichendorff School and their teacher tested the new crossing aid under the guidance of Heike Köllner, traffic educator from the Hof police station. The municipal building yard completed the traffic island in time for the start of school, thus implementing the city council's request.
