Science room at Jean-Paul-Gymnasium inaugurated
Good news for the pupils of the Jean-Paul-Gymnasium and their teachers: following the refurbishment, their science room is now equipped with the latest technology and is state of the art. The classroom and the associated preparation room previously met the standards of 1981. The room was too small, the walkways and escape routes too narrow, and contemporary teaching was no longer possible.
In May 2021, the government of Upper Franconia approved the start of the measures and provided funding. In the months that followed, numerous planning meetings were held with the school management, the biology and chemistry student council, furnishing companies and structural engineers to plan the final execution. Despite construction delays - caused by supply bottlenecks for materials and technical equipment - the project was successfully completed.
Mayor Eva Döhla praised the efforts of head teacher Stefan Klein, who had been instrumental in the realization of this project: "Investing in the education of our children is an investment in the future. Despite many challenges, we have managed to turn this room into a showcase project. I would like to thank Stefan Klein for his commitment and the entire school community for their patience and support."
