City of Hof congratulates Mr. and Mrs. Knörnschild on their diamond wedding anniversary
Dieter and Henriette Knörnschild have celebrated an extraordinary anniversary in Hof: they have been going through life together for 60 years. On the occasion of their diamond wedding anniversary, Mayor Eva Döhla visited the couple in person to offer her congratulations and a gift from the city of Hof.
Dieter and Henriette Knörnschild were married in 1965 in the church in Naila in heavy snowfall and wintry conditions, which made the start of their life together unforgettable. Since then, they have experienced and mastered many things together.
Dieter Knörnschild worked for many years in the Federal Border Guard and later in the Federal Police. His wife Henriette trained as a seamstress and worked as a sales assistant after the family phase. Together they raised three daughters.
In their free time, the two have been involved in the community for decades. Both have been active members of the shooting club for many years. Dieter Knörnschild also spent more than 30 years working as a volunteer nature conservation warden for nature and species conservation.
