Modular extensions at schools

Additional modular rooms were created at five schools between 2019 and 2021.

Due to rising birth rates and unexpectedly high influxes in the Hof area, there is an increased need for space at several Hof schools in order to ensure that school operations can be maintained. Various specialist rooms and other alternative rooms have already been converted into classrooms, but unfortunately there is still a lack of space.

Additional modular rooms were therefore created at five schools between 2019 and 2021. Various architects and other specialist planning offices were at work here under the project management of our own department. The results are impressive: all of the (extension) buildings, which at first glance could be described as containers, shine in bright and eye-catching splendor and now provide the former lack of space at these schools with more relaxed conditions for teaching and learning.

The Christian Wolfrum School, the Eichendorff School and the Sophien School were the first to do so. The Schule am Theresienstein and the Schule Krötenbruck followed shortly afterwards. Of course, this is not the end of the story when it comes to the lack of space at schools in Hof, but these five modular buildings are a start.
